In the season finale, our adventurers begin their return journey with the treasure, but soon realize something otherworldly is following them. A crewmember dies gruesomely in the night, and everyone doubles their efforts to reach the coastline as drums can be heard following them from deep within the jungle.
Upon reaching the shore, they run into Dreadnought Drake and Anastasia, a rival Valkyrie from Tyra’s past. Dreadnought explains how their employer, Dawson Deadeye, is willing to protect them from Miles Mainsail… for a portion of the treasure.
Before a deal can be finalized, the dead arrive. The ghost ship of the Crimson Squid rises out of the sea and undead sailors storm the beach led by Bramwell Nightwind himself. Fear is overcome, and the adventurers vanquish Bramwell to beyond the mortal realm.
Pantherian natives appear and request the return of their treasure. The adventurers do so, save for Franzika, who conceals a number of jewels in his backpack.
An agent of Bal-Rathi’s Compass arrives and explains how some Shaundor natives can still summon a Dark Omen they call Osceta. Their shamans had cursed the treasure taken by Bramwell, and Osceta began devouring all who knowingly took any of it.
While celebrating on the beach being alive, the adventurers consider accepting the offer of joining the secret organization of Bal-Rathi’s Compass. To become keepers of the legends of Arcus.
