Fighting erupts throughout the Fish & Chicks tavern: Hanziel and Franzika fighting Dreadnought Drake’s men in a private room, and the rest taking on Miles Mainsail’s men, led by a Morgrin, in the main hall.
Vilis makes a valiant effort taking on multiple armored guards. However, after jumping and failing to reach the rafters twice, he is the first to be cut down.
The Trixter Daniel, who had following Mainsail’s men to the tavern, makes a stealthy attack to the Morgrin’s back, but before receiving a response quickly retreats to the southern side of the tavern.
Hanziel and Franzika stand side by side against overwhelming odds. Franzika falls. Hanziel, in a rage, cuts one more sailor in half before joining in his brother’s fate. Daniel watches this unfold through a window, helpless to do anything.
Meanwhile, inside, Tyra holds her own against some of Mainsail’s men; knocking them off tables and firing arrow after deadly arrow. Krazzuel works crowd control attempting to tangle the guards in place. But the vines that make it through the floorboards are never strong enough. He moves over to aid Tyra in a last stand. But a Word of Command from the Morgrin drops Tyra to the floor in a forced sleep, leaving Krazzuel hopelessly surrounded by guards.
Daniel, sensing things aren’t going well, looks through another window where he spots the White-Elf Utuijan guide. He’s bound, but Daniel breaks in and frees him. They escape into the night with Drake’s men close behind.
The rest of the party would soon find themselves stabilized, but in shackles. The latest residents of the aptly named Slave Beach.
