It’s said that all beings have two parts to them: a body and a spirit. For mortals, when the body dies the spirit leaves and goes… we know not where. However, with immortals such as Drah’acon it works differently.
Upon the rare death of a Drah’acon, the spirit endures and remains. It’ll wander for a time, unable to directly interact with the physical realm.
After a time, the spirit will choose a place to reside. A metamorphosis takes place where the spirit returns to the physical realm in the form of a jet-black crystal orb. In this early physical form, it can begin to interact more with the world and call out to listening ears.
Over decades and centuries, the orb will grow. Eventually, the Drah’acon within will break free, reborn fully mature and with all the memories and mannerisms it once had.
