An injured Captain Sharkfin Shaw oversees repairs of the Shore Thing while our adventurers set out into Shaundor, seeking the location of Bramwell’s Buried Treasure. The dark jungle is unforgiving, however, as they contend with swarms of stinging insects and unbearable heat. Were it not for the map and their Utuijan guide, Erwin, they’d have quickly become lost.
They reach the first milestone by day’s end: a monolith from a bygone era of the Pantherian civilization now in decline. Here they also discover a journal left behind by Renwick Rapids, one of Bramwell’s trusted men. Its entries reveal a change of heart after witnessing the crew of the Crimson Squid commit unspeakable acts to the Pantherians they’d raided.
On the second day, our adventurers safely cross a tree bridge by answering trivia from wards placed there. Shortly afterwards, however, territorial 6-limbed Golgeranns attack. After a brief struggle, the creatures retreat and the group carries on to their final destination: a cave. There they meet and befriend Buddy, Bramwell’s pet bird who’d been faithfully awaiting his master’s return. Buddy stands down a great beast, the dreaded Moby Duck, allowing the group to enter the cave without issue.
And within the cave they find it: chest upon chest filled with gold and jewels. After over 80 years, Bramwell’s buried treasure has finally been found!
