Aranai (known also as “Dark Arachnids”) are believed to have evolved from a now-extinct species of “spiders”. They’re highly perceptive and intelligent, but their underworld nature makes them outcasts of society and looked upon with both suspicion and distain.
The Aranai possess some of the natural abilities of their sentient spider ancestors, able to leap great distances and shoot out web formations from glands in their wrists. They are often found scraping a living in large settlements, preferring to hide in dark places and back-alley ways.
