With the males reaching over 200lbs and 1 meter long, Snapping Turtles are one of the heaviest in the world. Often found in swamps and bogs, they are ambush predators; great at camouflaging and can hold their breath for nearly an hour. They generally will not chase after you but will stand their ground.
