Two days into the northern journey, the mineral-rich water beings dissolving the material of the bladders. Our adventurers manage to track and kill a Wild Boar, making from it almost enough replacements for the failing ones. Allen and Caelum drink the rest and experience a hallucinatory trance that they don’t snap out of until awakening the following morning with no memory of it.
They arrive in New Haven and deliver all the water to Lily Greenhand. All, that is, save one that Caelum takes to the Second Chance Tavern and adds it into the beer barrel. A barfight eventually ensues and Caelum, failing to look like a moose, is thrown out the front window.
While receiving their reward from Cedric Truemalt for their work in the Fire Hole Basin, Alcia once again hears whispers from the Mayor’s Office. She takes a quick look inside but sees nothing unusual. The adventurers speak with Clovis Grapewater and agree to cull the nearby alligator numbers.
The humid environment of the swamps slowly saps everyone’s endurance. While tracking ‘gators, they come across a half-sunken ancient Ventus Graveyard, the stones all baring the 8-pointed star symbol of Ventus. Upon a center stone, written in Elrican, it says…

Shortly thereafter, they are ambushed by alligators after following the screams of a woman. As Allen and Caelum take on one beat, another surprises Alcia and drags her down under into the murky water.
